Broseley is built on a rich history from the beginning of the Industrial Revolution. Visitors can wander past the houses where the ironmasters lived, wonder at the tiles made here which grace great buildings around the world, visit nearby National Trust properties, and even take in a factory where clay smoking pipes were made.
Benthall Hall is a stunning 16th century National Trust property. There are several enjoyable walks across the fields from Broseley, and it's easy to fit it in to a wander down to the gorge.

Broseley Local History Society
Their website is packed with information, including short, interesting explanations for several Jitty names (Town Trail). The Society has a long and active history itself, and has regular well attended meetings - guests welcomed. It can provide a useful source of information for family history research.
