These narrow pathways are unique - remnants of the industrial period of Broseley, when this area of the town was covered with the small dwellings of the workforce. The Jitties were the
thoroughfares of former times.
There are plenty of them, and exploring them all probably needs two or three hours fo strolling, remembering that they rest on the edge of a quite steep valley-side, so there's a lot of up and down
to be covered.

The Haycop is a nine acre, locally managed nature reserve featuring a mosaic of habitats including meadow, broadleaf woodland, aquatic and heath, with several criss-crossing paths. Nestling between Broseley village and the Ironbridge Gorge, it is a real wildlife haven and well worth a visit. Entry at the top is by the old town well, off Dark Lane; at the bottom from Ironbridge Rd.
Including football pitches, children's play area, climbing frames, zip wire and more.
Free parking, 9am til dusk.
